Nadine Currie

Nadine Currie was chosen to represent Florida at the National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium in Colorado Springs. Her research is entitled Measuring the Partition Coefficient of Oil Extracted from Algae. Nadine is also the first female in the history of Lake Brantley to be accepted into Cal-Tech.

Mansfield's project involved analyzing the pathway that certain toxins take to get to their desired target and put roadblocks in their paths. His research was very successful and worked with several of the toxins, including one that causes Cholera. Mansfield placed 3rd at JSEHS, 1st in Microbiology at the Seminole County Science Fair and qualified for the International Science Fair. He is currently accepted at Notre Dame, Tulane, and The University of Florida.
Kaitlyn Chana - Finalist in the 2009 Coca-Cola Scholarship competition! Kaitlyn is one of just 250 finalists nationwide who will travel to Atlanta on April 2 to compete for a four-year college scholarship. Thousands of high school students apply to this competition every year.
Vanessa Moreno - Placed first in the Apopka VFW post's Voice of Democracy Spoken Essay competition. This year's topic was "My Role in Honoring America's Heroes."

Krista Raines - Congratulations to Krista Raines for being named the Seminole County SGA Jefferson awards winner!! Krista was recognized with a$1,000 scholarship by county leaders for her outstanding community service. Earlier this year, Krista organized a donation drive for the american cancer society and raised over $600 in donations. Krista's efforts have shown that she is truly a Patriot who makes a difference!! Way to go, Krista!!!
