School Safety

Dear Parents,

Recent television news stories have prompted me to address you about the school safety plan at Lake Brantley.
It is very important that our campus remains calm, confident, and business as usual. Our students look to
us for guidance and assurance that school safety is a top priority and they need to be assured we take it very seriously.

Below are the specific security measures that are currently in place on our campus:
1. Administration, the school resource officer and security personnel are knowledgable of the student and the threats previously made in November 2011. No like threats have been made since that time.

2. Faculty and staff are well informed of our safety plan.

3. Campus is alert and vigilant everyday for any person not having permission to be here.

4. Any information (tips) obtained from students, others, or SpeakOut/Crimeline regarding this threat
or any other, will be reported to police immediately.

5. Altamonte Police are involved and will be providing additional perimeter patrols of the campus during the week of April 16.

Sincerely,
Mary Williams

PTSA Food Truck

Lake Brantley PTSA will be holding a Food Truck Fundraiser Event on December 19 -21 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The PTSA is VERY excited to have put this event together and bring it to Lake Brantley High School. We did not want to have a fundraiser that would be too expensive this time of year and we know Food Trucks are VERY popular.

We have five trucks participating:

The Gastro Food Truck, The Crepe Company, The Flattery, The Brisket Bus and The Yum Yum Cupcake Truck. They will have items such as gourmet sandwiches, flatbreads, crepes and cupcakes for purchase. Prices will range from $1.00 – $8.00 and methods of payment will be cash & credit/debit card. RW Chocolate Fountains will also be selling Holiday themed Cake Pops along with the Food Trucks. RW and The Crepe Company only take cash, so we encourage you to have some available. We hope you will enjoy our Food Truck Fundraiser Event. If it is successful, we plan to do it on a regular basis.

Also, please visit the PTSA Facebook page (Lake Brantley High School PTSA) and “Like” us. We need all the “Likes” we can get, and please ask your students/children/friends to support us with more “Likes”.

The LBHS PTSA thanks you for your support and wishes you a very Happy and Safe Holiday!
