The Media Center

Media Center Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Wed 7:00 am – 2:30 pm

Lake Brantley’s Media Center is located in the front right hand side of the school, across from the office. Lake Brantley’s Media Center is equipped with 72 computers, where students and the local public can work and learn on the computers. Internet access is provided. The Plato Lab also consists of 72 computers which all students during school hours can access, and use many of the available help and learning programs.

Usage:

  • Need last name, first 3 initials of first name and password
  • Please no FOOD or DRINK
  • Computers/ printers are for school related activities – No games etc.
  • Follow computer usage agreement
  • DRESS CODE applies before, during and after school
  • NO CELL PHONE, BEEPER OR CD PLAYER use in media center

  • Push chairs in as you leave
  • Deposit trash in any of the numerous containers
  • Talk in low voices maintaining a learning environment
  • Print only school related materials
  • Be considerate of others who are here to work
  • Follow dress code and other school policies
  • Enjoy the media center for leisure reading

When Printing From the Internet:

  • HELP US CONSERVE PRINTER PAPER AND TONER
  • Highlight the selected text by holding down the mouse key and dragging
  • Go to “File”
  • Select “Print”
  • Under “Page Range” click on “Selection”
  • Click OK

  • Cut and paste and put it into a word document
